FEATURES

⭐ Classic Darbuka size ⭐

The 22cm Darbuka is the classic, original size Darbuka that is the perfect all rounder for beginners to advanced players of all sizes. This is the classic Egyptian size.

⭐ Internal tuning system ⭐

The internal tuning system allows the Darbuka to be kept in tune at all times. As it is internal, the tuning lugs are not exposed and hence do not reduce the playable section of the Darbuka.

⭐ Glitter finished inner shell ⭐

The inside of the Darbuka is finished in a smooth glitter finish, to ensure maximum resonance when sound is transmitted through the Darbuka body.

⭐ Individually crafted Mother of Pearl designs ⭐

Each Mother of Pearl piece has to be placed by hand on the Darbuka's aluminium shell. The Ruby Orchid model is then finished with a coloured gloss to give it's red appearance.

Disclaimer: These Arabic drums can also be referred to as Egyptian Tablas, as they are made in Egypt. A Darbuka can also be referred to as a Goblet Drum, Derbake, Darbouka, Darboka, Dumbek, Darbooka, Derbouka, Egyptian Tabla or Middle Eastern Tombak. This drum is similar to the African Djembe/Jembe, but has a plastic skin (rather than an animal skin) and a metal body, rather than a wood body. These Darbukas are made of aluminium, not copper. The Darbuka is played typically with the hands and not a stick/beater. This is not a Bongos/Bongo Drum, Congos/Conga Drum, or Cajon Box. Fits any white, black, clear or coloured 22cm (8.75') Gawharet El Fan, Remo Skyndeep, Powerbeats, Meinl, Alexandria or other Darbuka head.
