Low Grow Fescue Seed Mix is a combination of improved fine fescues that results in an attractive, fine textured turf stand if mown or a functional ground cover when unmown. The long-term stand will reach a height of 10 – 12 inches when left unmown and is ideal for areas that are difficult to maintain or mow such as berms and steep slopes. It is also a great companion seed product for the establishment of wildflowers as it provides an excellent, non-competitive cover while the wildflowers are getting established.
Recommended Use
Low Grow Fescue Mix is best suited for areas with limited management and areas where mowing is difficult or impossible. It can be mown, however, and will provide a dense turf stand at relatively low heights of cut. It has good drought resistance and adapts to most soil conditions, from very sandy to somewhat heavy clay soils. It will perform in full sun to heavy shade. Best results are achieved under low management conditions. Limited fertilizer and irrigation are preferred.
